Corporate Portraits, Personal & Business Branding
What and when to update your business presence
So, you have been advised that you require an updated headshot or corporate portrait or do you need business branding? What exactly do you need? How do you know if you need to just get a ‘LinkedIn Headshot’ or something more? What is a ‘LinkedIn Headshot?’
Below I am offering a description of how I classify my business portraits, and where I think you would be best to use one over the other.
There are no strict rules, but there are times that one style works better than the other.
Please keep in mind – these are my categories and descriptions – they are not an industry standard, this is purely how I classify my different options.
Express Headshots
The What: This is generally where my clients come to my studio and have a quick 20-minute session. They have either a headshot or head and shoulders shot in front of a light or dark background. ( These sessions are organised as "Headshot Special Days" where there are a minimum number of available spots).
There are also occasions where large offices/businesses would like all their staff headshots either photographed for the first time or updated – on these occasions, I will organise to come to your workplace and photograph all staff on the one day. ((A minimum of 6 staff members are required to book me to come to your office).
When to use this style: When you are a staff member of a business and you are required to have a headshot that is in keeping with the rest of the headshots taken, so that there is a consistent feel and look to the business. These portraits are generally used as an identity photo, rather than showing the individuality of the person. Most times these portraits are used on the business’s website, and also for LinkedIn recognition, Annual Reports, Resumés, Company Publications etc. Think larger businesses corporations.

Mini Personal Branding With Make-Up
The What: These portraits show a bit more individual personality. They may be taken in my studio, or at your place of business, or out at the location that suits your profession – environmental portraits.
This is a more personalised session where you are able to have outfit changes to show off your business and your personality within the business, include professional hair and make-up
When to use this style: With this option your portraits are wonderful for Websites, Printed and digital Pamphlets, LinkedIn, Advertising. They are either for the owner operator of the business, Executive Portraits or a member of a business that wants to show off their team members to potential clients on a more individual level. Other uses – think public speaker biographies, book covers. For Business Start-ups, or those needing a refresh.

personal & Business Branding Experiences
Imagine this - Creating 6 -12 months worth of marketing images in one day - for social media, websites , blogs and more.
The What: Options of half day and full day personalised photo shoots which include a Business Branding Strategy to help you and I create the images you not only need but love to share.
Who needs this option: Businesses that are constantly marketing and showing off their services - maybe with larger teams, products and offerings. When you require a selection of images that you can use over a number of platforms (not just a headshot although these collections include this if you require them) for social media – including Facebook and Instagram – images of you and your business with quotes and stories about your business or industry for social media or blogs. Collections of images which you can use and rotate for all your publicity so that you are able to change it up for your online content, pamphlets and website.
If your business offers personalised services where you work alongside your clients consider images of you or your staff interacting with them – gone are the days of stock photos being enough – your potential clients want to see and experience a more personalised service – this starts with ‘real’ photos of your business.
