Because I noticed that I didn't see enough photographs of the women I know and love - my friends and my family - up in their homes.
Because I want to create images of women that are beautiful and at the same time real - images that they love and can relate to.
Sure there is hair and make-up - but just to ensure you look your best - confident and relaxed.

Why The Need To Photograph You?
What set me on this Genre of portraits? Well a bit of a mixture really. For one, I am now in my 50's and really noticed how little we woman have photos taken of us - not as a parent, wife, daughter, or carer - just as an individual, showing who we are, and celebrating it. Yet we seem to love looking at great portraits of famous women - look at all the 'Vogues' and 'Vanity Fair' mags sold to name a couple!
Secondly, invariably when I speak with woman about this, their reply is "Oh I'm always the one taking the photos", and or "No, I don't want to be in the photo, just the kids" etc etc.
I have noticed that there are 1000's of photos of girls and women until they reach their mid to late 30's, and then after that - 40's, 50's and onwards they disappear from view.
I think this is not just about not having time, or just wanting photos of the kids, but it is stemming from the lack of self confidence we feel as we get older, and all the photos of women we see in magazines are so retouched or other interferences that women don't feel they can live up to that, or look and feel great about themselves in a photo. We are all beautiful and can all have beautiful photographs of ourselves - let us pamper you with my professional make-up artist and hair-stylist - maybe have a few champagnes! Book for yourself, or share this experience with your daughters, your mother or get together with your girlfriends and make a day of it.
My questions to you are.....do you really want to never have a photo you love of yourself as you get older and wiser? Is the last great photo of you in your 20's or on your Wedding Day? As a legacy to you and your family - would it not be wonderful to show you as a woman who existed in the family? This is not just for you, but if you have children, do you not think that even if not now, one day they will want photos of you, for their memories and their sense of family and family history.
Your Photographic Experience - what to expect:
Once you have made the choice to celebrate you, we discuss clothing, styles, looks, and what you would like to achieve from the photo session.
On the day, you arrive with a selection of outfits that we can change up to suit your looks and outcomes.
You have your hair and make-up professionally done for you on the day - not to make you look different to who you see yourself as, but to best enhance your features and outfits - no different to when you go out and dress up!
Then we have a fun time photographing you, allowing for time for you to get comfortable with the camera on you. Sometimes it can be great to organise this day with a close friend or two, or your daughters! The girls day out! Maybe a champagne and some nibbles to enjoy on the day - this can help you relax and enjoy the whole experience - and then follow it up with a day or night out on the town all dressed up and ready to go!
